RanMan,
I've been to GC 12 or so times in last 15 years (with teenage daughter & niece and assorted boyfriends at various times.) Most recently two weeks in April. My three alltime favorite GC restaurants never reopend after Ivan.
I think teens & adults would like these moderately priced (for GC) spots: My Bar at Sunset House (if you have a car), Coconut Joe's, Aqua Beach, Lone Star, Eats (right across the street from Westin especially for breakfast). Chicken Chicken is good for takeout and Dominos in West Bay delivers (at least to our condo).
I've eaten at all the GC restaurants people rave about many times. For the most part, anyone from a decent sized city will have eaten much better food (even seafood) many times. Restaurant opinions are, of course, very subjective, and Caribbean opinions are even more so because of the variability of service.
For a splurge, I like either the Reef Grill or (my pick) the two restaurants at Morgan's Harbor especially Calypso Grill.

Eats is right across from the Westin. Inexoensive and big portions! Graet for breakfast especailly. Another affordable place with a fun atmosphere and good food is Coconut Joe's near the Marriott. It's walkable, albeit a long walk.
