Going back to St. John! Villa advice...have you stayed here?
I am going back to my new favorite place, St. John!! Just booked my tickets for January 2007. Last time we went, we stayed at a beautiful villa, Argonauta.
We have 2 couples, and are looking at the following villas, have any of you stayed at any of these?
Cloud 9
Oleander
Sundance
Villa Capiz
Time Out
Paradise Revisited
Thanks!Marti

I stayed at Paradise Revisted in March with another couple and we really enjoyed it. I am a big beach/snorkel person and would have preferred to be closer to the water, but villas directly on the water are rare in St. John and very pricey. We had a car so enjoying the beaches was no problem and our friends spent the majority of their time lounging by the pool and enjoying the views. We were just up the road from the Westin so you are very close to shopping and restaurants. The views are wonderful from this house and we enjoyed all the iguanas in the trees which hung out all day and didn't seem the slightest bit afraid of us. You should request the DVD from CareFree Getaways. You get a better idea of the layout of the homes on the DVD.

Pebble Cove is great if you like to be a little away from the crowds. We prefer to go off the beaten path and find the local spots to hang out. The villa was great, it's a little older (maybe 20-25 yrs) but the views more than overcome the sticking screens, windows etc. The second bedroom is a little odd, you have to go out the front door and make a u-turn to a seperate entrance, you have to go outside and thru another door to the bathroom??? We loved the second floor outside shower, never did that before. No real dislikes except the no see-ums, awful!!! The villa is close to a few good places to eat and a little market that's cheaper than the stores so you don't have to go more than a few miles for anything.
