Getting to Bonaire
Are there any options that don't involve a long layover or an overnight stay? If price were no object, could you get a private plane from Aruba or San Juan to Bonaire? We're flying from Philly and there don't seem to be any feasible commercial air options.

KeyGal, Go to "Bonaire Talk" and ask your question. This is a forum with VERY experienced, friendly, and helpful Bonaire travelers.
Bonaire is not an easy destination. We are flying from South Dakota to Huston to caught the overnight flight on CO. This will be our first time, but we are hopeful the snorkeling will be worth the effort.
Good luck in your search. Owa

We are staying at Belmar apts. I booked with Bonaire Partners because they had a special offer which included a rental car. Laura was my contact and I was very pleased with her prompt replies and help with my questions.
I can't give you first hand information as this will be our first visit to Bonaire. Good luck, Owa

I went to Bonaire in 2003, and we were able to fly diretcly there. I have been looking into going again and have not been able to find a flight that was not overnight. You may be able to fly to Aruba and then catch a puddle jumper via Dutch Antilles Express. You may want to go to www.infobonaire.com.

The day you want to arrive is going to be crucial here. Air Jamaica has a flight that would allow you to connect through MoBay but it's not every day. If you can get to Aruba fairly early in the day on a nonstop from Philly, then I think you could get a flight on BonairExpress, which also flies to St. Maarten and gives you, potentially, another place to connect. But you should call BonairExpress to get their flight schedule.
