Getting around Turks and Caicos
Sorry to post a new question, but I'm not getting an answer on the other posts. Would appreciate some help on taxi fares; we are staying at Ocean Club and would be going to restaurants for dinner (like Hemingway's and others recommended here); I know about the shuttle but it doesn't seem too appealing waiting for it after dinner). Can you walk to any restaurants? Having never been there, it is hard for me to visualize.
I have looked at the great map recommended by Virginia (thanks!), but can't tell distances between resorts/restaurants.
Many thanks in advance,
Mary

I can only tell you the fares relating to the RWI if that helps at all with looking at the map. We spent $20 round trip for the IGA and $26 round trip to go to Baci in Turtle Cove....see your other question for info about that experience.
We did not have a great experience with the service and schedule one day with the Gecko so decided to use the cabs instead.

ocean club has a dinner shuttle as well and for $8 per person they will drop you off and pick you up from the restaurant you choose...anywhere along grace bay and turtle cove...
i think they have a couple times for departure...you just have to sign up at the lobby...it's pretty convienent...
you can walk to the sands from ocw in about 15 minutes on the road so maybe you could take the resort transfer shuttle from oc to ocw and walk to hemmingways if you wanted to eat earlier than the dinner shuttle departures...
