Frangipani -- Howard C ?
Hi Howard -- I recall you have stayed at Frangi many times -- any recent opinions? Which rooms would you recommend we request? We are planning trip to AXA for Feb 2009 -- we stayed at CapJ in July several years ago but high season rates there are driving us to look for alternatives -- considering Frangi or Ku. Many thanks.

Hi Alan,
Not Howard but I can chime in.
We had lunch at Frangipani in Feb.
The hotel looks wonderful. A new
infinity pool, an extended covered
patio off the restaurant, new beach
chairs and covered huts (can't think
of correct name). The rooms have all been done over-flat screen tv's etc.
Since you have stayed at CJ you
might prefer the west end. Yes there
winter rates have gone up. I might
add the hotel looks great.
Lucky Howard is now living in St. Croix.

Hi Penny -- Thanks. I think you've also provided advice to us on this board (or another one) in the past. Surprised that Howard now lives on STX rather than Anguilla or Provo.
Is Frangipani in the west end area? I know generally where Ku is located on Shoal Bay East because we ate lunch there a few years ago at the restaurant that Didier used to operate in the pool area before the Shoal Bay hotel changed over to Ku, and we used their lounge chairs on the beach after lunch. -- Alan

Not Howard, but I can add that I've stayed at Frangipani within the last year. I stayed during the summer, when the rates are quite a bit lower. I'm not sure you'll save much by going in the high season. The lowest priced rooms have no view and I only booked them as an addition to a suite when travelling with children. You can view the new rates by visiting www.frangipaniresort.com.
