Excursions from Atlantis/Nassau

My husband, 18-year old son and I will be going to Atlantis for a week in March. Can anyone recommend activities that we should consider? We've already booked a day with Powerboat Adventures. What other excursions/day-trips/activities should we consider? We are quite active, like to try anything at least once. Also, do you know what the legal drinking age is in the Bahamas? It just dawned on me that my son might be "legal" for the first time. Thanks for your help.

Here's a link to the tour desk .. There's plenty of fun activities.
Flying Cloud or Seahorse tour is one of my favorites. Theres'also jetskis, parasailing, banana rides etc.
You can swim with the dolphins, pet the stingrays, dive with sharks etc.
Also, check out Stuart Coves for snorkeling/discover scuba trips (www.stuartcove.com)

You're gonna love the Powerboat adventure!! We took a trip there with our two sons, (14 and 12), was amazing!! We also took a snorkel trip with stuartcoves, we snorkeled with the sharks, not near as dangerous as it sounds, but was well worth it! We also took a deep sea fishing trip, and after they took us around sight seeing and showed us many private owned islands and told us about some of the famous people who own them. The boys caught alot of fish and had a great time. There's so much to do there, hard to fit it all in in one vacation! Most hotels have people set up at the hotel to go over all the things available, and you can book them right through the hotel, and they pick you up and drop you back off. HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

At the airport, pick up a free copy of the "Bahamas Tourist News." It is a free guide to everything going on, and has many discount coupons inside. It will be well-stocked at the airport. Robert

Also in your room at at the consierge at the Atlantis will be all kinds of brochures and discount shopping coupons.

You might enjoy the Ardastra Zoo and Garden, just off East Bay St and easy to get to on the #10 bus from downtown Nassau.

Another fun day might be the BoHengy Fast Ferry over to Harbour Island, you can do some site seeing on this beautiful little gem of an island, have a nice lunch, enjoy the beach and head back on the late ferry.

Have a great time.

To tizzylishy:
Who did you book your fishing trip with? Sounds great! (especially when you catch some fish!)
