Desperate for a VILLA
There are 12 of us adults travelling together this December. We are having so much difficulty finding a nice villa for under $6,000 for the week.
Does anyone know of any nice villas, with at least six bedrooms, for $6,000 or less, and NOT in Jamaica, DR or Cuba?
Thank you in advance!!

Hmmm.... a nice 6-bedroom villa in December for under $6,000? That's a tall order. My very quick search found one for $6,300 on Virgin Gorda, but the price goes up after the middle of the month. (Early December is still "summer"!)

You might have more luck getting two neighboring 3-bedroom villas for $3,000 each.

I feel your pain. I've been struggling for two months trying to find a villa that meets the needs of three families all with kids in December. And we only need 3-4 BR but lots of other specific needs. At any rate, I've found that it's easier to find options with a specific island or two in mind. If you search for villas on "xx" island usually you can find local rental operators. Also if you're not to particular about location, I've seen lots of places available for reasonable prices on hillsides, or on more remote islands like Bequia. I haven't noticed 6 BRs b/c I haven't been looking, but if I come across one I'll post a link.

I saw several that large when searching for a small one on Provo. Don't have the web sites handy but if you search A-1 Vacations or www.wherewhenhow.com you should find something.

Recent trip report on Provo mentioned this website, which I took a brief look at. One of these three houses has 8 bedrooms, but I don't recall that prices were listed on the website. It's worth checking it out, however.

Thank you so much for your replies. We were actually in Turks last year and therefore wanted to try somewhere new.
Sorry, I should have mentioned, it is the first week in December that we are going away, sometimes the prices are still lower then mid-December.

This one seems to fill the bill: (Loblolly, Virgin Gorda)
http://loblollyvilla.com/
Or this one:
(Dragonfly, St. Croix)

Good luck with your search. Let us know how you did!

I second the Loblolly recommendation. We recently stayed on Bellamare/Mahoe Bay/Virgin Gorda with two other couples and had a blast. Our friends still thank us for picking the location/villa etc. Virgin Gorda is quiet/very quaint/beautiful island. Really nice beach, good for kids, and nobody on it....Savannah bay which is close by is really beautiful also.

You Might check out Beachcourt Villa at Shoal Bay East Anguilla--www.beachcourtvilla.com. Not sure of the cost but Steve might cut you a deal. Also go to www.Luxurylink.com where there are some large villas on the Caribbean at auction.
