Cusinart v. Malli

I decided on Anguilla for the quick getaway with my husband in mid. Feb., even if only for 4 nights, for the rest/relaxation/food/beaches and a bit of a splurge. Cap J has a 5 night minimum so that is out. So - between an oceanview double room at Malli (apparently that is all that is available as of now) and a luxury oceanview room or Jr. Suite at Cuisinart -- any recommendations? Other recommedations are also welcome! Thanks in advance.

I have been to Cuisinart twice and have also visited Malli as recently as a few weeks ago. You cannot go wrong with either place, and if there are big price differences between them, you may want to let that decide. Personally, I am partial to Cuisinart. The jr suites are large and very luxurious. They all have ocean views with large balconies. I would take four nights in Anguilla over a week anywhere else. Enjoy!

Hi, you will love your choice of islands! We just returned 5 days ago from a 5 night stay at CA. We had 2 Jr. suites for our family, loved them. I did write a trip report(TRIP REPORT/CUISINART) should you care to read it. Have never stayed at Malli, only visited it. I can say that sunset from that side is outstanding.
You will feel pampered at Cusinart, IMHO.

recently got engaged at cuisinart and loved every moment of being there..espcially w/ the jr. suite right at the beach. Vistied Mali. for sunset and dinner, which i would suggest doing but staying at CA. If you are a beach person you should know that you have to go down clif stairs at Mali to get to the beach, whereas at CA you are 20 yrds from the beach.

We have been to both. Both are great but we won't be going back to Malliouhana.
Our first trip to Anguilla was to Malliouhana and we loved it. Great beach and service. We loved it so much we booked a return for a year later (this was in April slightly out of season).
3 months ahead, after we already had our plane tix, we were contacted by M and told, "sorry, someone has booked the entire hotel" (for a wedding or something). They asked if we could "rebook". Did not offer to find us othe lodgeing or give any compensation.
Fortunately we rebooked at CuisinArt (Jr Suite) and loved it. Great view from veranda, right on the beach, served sorbet on the beach at 4pm each day. Love the lunch with veggies from the hydrooponic garden (fresh tomatoes year round). We would go back there.

Thanks to everyone for their inout. Based on feedback - and the price - I think we will be staying at CA. Thanks again and I'll let you know how it turns out.
