ANYONE KNOW OF GOOD BEACHES OR SNORKELING IN COSTA MAYA? HOW ABOUT THE SHOPPING?

I'm going on a New Year's cruise with a stop at Costa Maya. Sounds like I should spend most of my time in that port on board the cruise ship. Is the town worth touring for maybe a couple of margaritas? Help!!<BR>

I'll let you know when we get back from our cruise. We will return August 18th. I haven't been able to find out much info either, our travel agent assures me we can visit ruins or go to a eco park that is well worth the trip. I don't think there is much shopping there, probably better wait until Cozomol or Cancun
