My husband and I visited Punta Cana March 2003. We stayed at Sunscape AI. We loved it, although it was our first trip ever and we do not have a comparison. (No bracelets and no resturant reservations) The beaches did have some seaweed, but the resorts keep it raked. The resort was smaller than some of the others and was well maintained. The vacationers were mostly American some Canadian. Children were there but didn't notice them much. There is a adult only pool. Our room was next to the theater, bad idea unless you like loud music til 1am. Food was pretty good although I don't think they know how to cook beef! Bacon was great for some reason. Not much to do outside of the resort and when we did take a excursion off the resort we saw alot of poverty. It did rain for a few minutes every other day. Try debbiescaribbeanresortreviews.com. for more reviews.

My best friend stayed at Secrets last year. It is an adult only AI. She said it was the best vacation her and her husband have ever been on! They also, are in their 30's. They even enjoyed a couple's massage on the beach after they won $100 at the casino. Good luck with your planning and enjoy your trip!
