cayman islands w/out kids

where to say on 7MB? celebrating a special anniversary in January, heard that many places discount for dates the week immediately after New Years.
Looking for great beach, sunsets, snorkeling and lots of laid back time. Thinking about Aqua Bay Club- but so many who post comment on how great it is for the kids!

First week in January you won't see many kids in Cayman on the beaches... period... they are all in school

If you want a condo try Villas of the Galleon..If you want a hotel try Westin Causarina..Aqua Bay looks to be a ways out toward West Bay and the water's sand bottom may be rough and rocky. 7 Mile beach at the other 2 mentioned places is superb, convenient, quiet and awesome. Villas in my estimation is the primo complex in the area.Apts.redone beautifully after the hurricane but Jan. is very high season time and the CI$ is 1.25 US so be aware of the expense of anywhere on 7 Mile Beach. Watch out for the upscale hotels, ie. Ritz Carton etc, as they are across West Bay Rd. from the beach itself. GCI is beautiful.. Amer_can

My suggestion is stay at the Morritts Grand on East Bay. So much more relaxing than 7 mile beach.

Stay at the Ritz on Seven Mile Beach and you won't see too many children around from foreigners or the locals.
