Booked Four Seasons!!
I am so excited to have booked the Four Seasons Nevis for my husband and I for our 10th anniversary this summer.
My question is about the the ocean front rooms - can anyone tell me about them? How close to the water are they. Any opinions on having a ground level or second story room? I was thinking of requesting a second story room because I think those are screened in - is this true.
Any other first hand experience with this resort would be most helpful.

I know this question has been discussed on the St. Kitts/Nevis board. You can go there and search: http://www.geographia.com/guestbook/kittsnevis/
Enjoy!

We are leaving for the FS Nevis on the 18th of this month. I am also very excited and looking forward to some warm R&R, especially after the hectic holidays! We have requested a second story oceanfront room because we thought it would be more private with the screened in balcony. I did read somewhere that the second story bathrooms were not renovated to the extent of the first floor rooms - with marble, but it was not a concern for me. I'll let you know about the rooms when we return and answer any other questions you might have.

The ocean front rooms are about 150 feet from the sand (we were in a first floor room). We loved having a first floor room because you could step right out and be almost immediately on the beach.
We did have a crab scratch our lanai door one night -- that would be the only concern (we were told that they are attracted to the moisture from it). Although that was a little disconcerting at 3 am, it was no big deal.
Congratulations on ten years. FS Nevis is Amazing!

I really think you'd be happier being on the first floor because of the easy access to the beach. Make sure you have lunch or dinner Sunshines, next door. When you first wander over you may ask, do I really want to eat here? believe me, they have some of the freshest food on the island. Lobster, catch of the day, shrimp, BBQ ribs, chicken, and salads as well.
On the opposite side of the FS is another nice beach club that just opened in November and is run by the Hermitage. The owners are lots of fun and the menu offers many selections that you won't find anywhere else on the island. It's bright and cheery and located right on the edge of the waves.
Have fun!
