Best family resort in Caribbean?

Trying to find a resort for a family vacation next spring. Ages range from 1 to 91 so while we want great facilities and activities for the kids, the adults should be able to enjoy their experience as well. Needs to be easy to get to from NYC (a flight change is okay but we don't want 2 flights to a boat to a long drive). Price is not a main consideration.
Thanks so much!

If price is not a major concern, how about Little Dix on Virgin Gorda? Would involve a switch in SJU to Air Sunshine directly into VIJ - assuming the senior traveler doesn't have an ambulatory problem with climbing a few steps to the Air Sunshine plane. Lots of kids things (an excellent kids club) and for adults too - good beach, great spa, wonderful island. They also have villas on property if that interests you - 2 beachfront and at least 3 hillside.

Besides Little Dix, Caneel Bay also has a kids camp but no real villa's. Four Seasons-Nevis is one of my favorites and was my daughers when she was 9. They have villas but are priced on the high side but are lovely. But regular rooms accommodate 3 very comfortable and can take 2 children.

Actually Caneel allows only three in a room (don't know how your group breaks down)but Little Dix offers a second room at a discount for children under 16 for the resort rooms. Think they both charge for an extra adult in the room $75.

st. thomas ritz is nice and has kids club, excellent spa, gorgeous pool/beach/view. nonstop from jfk.
they have a nice sailboat called the lady lynsey - beautiful yacht.
plenty of nice restaurants on island.
duty free shopping in charlotte amalie.
or you could go over to st. john to caneel bay resort. this would involve a taxi to the ferry after the plane. however caneel has it's own people at the airport to direct you and their own ferry directly to the resort. caneel has 7 beaches and is quite a bit more laid back than the ritz.
aa flights leaves nyc at noon, arrive at 4:15 so this would not be too long an adventure for the 1 & 91er's.
or st. john could be an easy day trip.
