Bermuda in February?

Since that would be low season, for Bermuda, I think, the rate should be more reasonable, right? We wouldn't care about being able to swim; would just want to relax, lie on the beach and read, etc.

It will be my husband's 65th birthday - a biggie - in Feb. so I'd like to plan a trip to celebrate.

Are you ok w/ temps in the low/mid 60's? That's probably what you will get in Bermuda in February. For me that wld be too cold to sit on a beach but you may be ok w/ that.

You might want to check http://www.weather.bm for historical weather data. True, you might catch a nice day or two, but I would say you would more likely get windy/rainy and chilly days. Feb is not generally Bermuda's best month. That said, it is still Bermuda and no matter what the weather, I would be happy there. You should get great deals, it is rendezvous season and they offer lots of specials. Check out www.bermudatourism.com for some ideas.

So maybe my idea of going in Feb. isn't so great if it would mostly be rainy and windy. 60's and sunny would be ok, but if its not sunny, that would be too cold.

What about the Southeast coast of Florida?....Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach/Singer Island...fly to West Palm(PBI)
again it may be cool but you may luck out & get mid 70's. I have had both during the last week in Feb/first 2 weeks in March in Southeast Florida.

Seriously, Feb is the worst weather month for Bermuda - if you want beaches, look south.

Our last trip to Bermuda was during the first week of March, 2009. Daytime temperatures ranged from the low 60s to the low 70s with strong breezes. We were not looking for a "lounge on the beach" vacation, so the weather was fine for us. The weather was suitable for hiking and sightseeing.

I would not recommend going to Bermuda in February. It is cold and windy. You will not be able to lie on a beach.

I've scratched Bermuda from the list. Thanks.

My husband mentioned earlier today that he would like to go to the north shore of Oahu to watch the surfers so I think I will investigate that for Feb. We love the Caribbean but Hawaii is easier to get to from Phoenix, and we plan to go to Abaco in the spring, so I think I am giving up the idea of the Caribbean/Bermuda/Bahamas for Feb.

I'm going to look at northern CA as an option. Since we're in Phx, we could do a 3-4 day trip involving relaxing, good fine, maybe see some wineries, and sit by a fire and watch winter storms. A far cry from the Caribbean, but since we plan to go Abaco in April, I think northern CA would work.
