Bermuda in February?
Since that would be low season, for Bermuda, I think, the rate should be more reasonable, right? We wouldn't care about being able to swim; would just want to relax, lie on the beach and read, etc.
It will be my husband's 65th birthday - a biggie - in Feb. so I'd like to plan a trip to celebrate.

You might want to check http://www.weather.bm for historical weather data. True, you might catch a nice day or two, but I would say you would more likely get windy/rainy and chilly days. Feb is not generally Bermuda's best month. That said, it is still Bermuda and no matter what the weather, I would be happy there. You should get great deals, it is rendezvous season and they offer lots of specials. Check out www.bermudatourism.com for some ideas.

What about the Southeast coast of Florida?....Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach/Singer Island...fly to West Palm(PBI)
again it may be cool but you may luck out & get mid 70's. I have had both during the last week in Feb/first 2 weeks in March in Southeast Florida.

Our last trip to Bermuda was during the first week of March, 2009. Daytime temperatures ranged from the low 60s to the low 70s with strong breezes. We were not looking for a "lounge on the beach" vacation, so the weather was fine for us. The weather was suitable for hiking and sightseeing.

My husband mentioned earlier today that he would like to go to the north shore of Oahu to watch the surfers so I think I will investigate that for Feb. We love the Caribbean but Hawaii is easier to get to from Phoenix, and we plan to go to Abaco in the spring, so I think I am giving up the idea of the Caribbean/Bermuda/Bahamas for Feb.

I'm going to look at northern CA as an option. Since we're in Phx, we could do a 3-4 day trip involving relaxing, good fine, maybe see some wineries, and sit by a fire and watch winter storms. A far cry from the Caribbean, but since we plan to go Abaco in April, I think northern CA would work.
