barbados hotels

My husband and I will be travelling to Barbados in September and are looking for moderately priced hotels located near or on a beach...any recommendations?

Southern Palms hotel is a good choice. It's on the south coast in the St. Lawrence Gap area. It is directly on a pretty beach and it's within walking distance of several great restaurants. As I recall, it is moderately priced for Barbados.

I would second Southern Palms. There is also Accra, South Beach, Barbados Beach Club, Butterfly, all of which are on the beach. If you can decide on the amount you want to spend, you will find lots more at www.destinationcaribbean.net.

We enjoyed Coral Sands, which was on the beach. We could walk to a couple grocery stores to get food in for breakfast and lunch and then walked to the St. Lawrence Gap area restaurants for dinner.

We loved Southern Palms and would stay there again in a heartbeat! Dover Beach is the best!! and many, many restaurants within walking distance.
