I just used Avis while in Provo. They had the best price at the time when I was booking. Their lot is a 1 minute shuttle ride from the airport terminal.

NYGiants27, what kind of car did you rent? We've got a teeny tiny car reserved. Will that be sufficient to get us around? Or should we go up a class?

Thanks for the info.

Peace, Greenie

If you are a NY Giant You might want a bigger auto. I hear the roads are not good, you might fall into a pot hole! You can always make an up grade when you get there.

We rented a subcompact car there. I kept joking that I felt like Hightower in Police Academy. Yes, its true that the roads are terrible. You just drive slower, try to avoid the majority of the potholes and you should be ok. When you're on the Leeward Highway, the road is fine.

Nygiants27..
Were they there at the airport with the shuttle and then do you return it to the office and be shuttled back? I have some kind of suv Teois or something did you see them? Most of the catagories were sold out, my daughter thinks a full size is safer. I e-mail down there but never get a reply.

They have a desk with one person at the airport. She took our name and then called the shuttle to take us to their main building. We waited only a few minutes for the shuttle. Then we only spent 5 minutes in their main building taking care of any paperwork. We also had to return the car to the same building and be shuttled back to the airport terminal. Everything went very smooth. I remember the SUV you're talking about. I didn't think it was that big. I'd say it's the size of a Toyota Rav4 or maybe even smaller. There wasn't much space behind the rear seat for luggage. If there are only 2 of you traveling, that isn't a big deal since you can fold down the rear seat. If you need that rear seat, you won't have anywhere really to put your luggage.

I have also rented a sort of miniature car from Avis--a subcompact for 6 days for $210. Since there are 4 of us, I would think we would have to taxi at least 2 to our cottage.
I have another car reserved with Provo Rent a Car--an intermediate sedan--for a total of $255 inc. for 2 drivers and all additional taxes and fees.
Has anyone used Provo Rent a Car?
