Aruba Dining -- Need suggestions for best restaurants that are also kid-friendly

We'll be in Aruba with our two children, ages 7 & 12, October 31 - November 8. My husband and I were there several years ago and enjoyed the wonderful selection of restaurants -- we especially liked Ventanas, the one at the lighthouse, Papiamento, Restaurant Gasparito. A nice view is a plus for us. We'd like to try others such as Madame Janette's, Flying Fishbone, any other musts. Can anyone give me some input on which of Aruba's restaurants are kid-friendly and which are not? They are well-behaved but fairly picky eaters and since we are planning on getting a babysitter a few nights we will save the more adult-oriented restaurants for then. I just don't want to be stuck eating at Outback Steakhouse the entire time, want to give the kids the chance to experience Aruba dining as well but don't want the "evil eye" from other diners if I show up with my kids!

Do not miss El Gaucho!!!!

And I think Iguana Joe's would be a good place to take kids.

Excellent restaurant is "Marandi" with wonderful views of the ocean and at sunset. Large open air palapa with beach sand floors (marandiaruba.com). Located just past downtown on the beach by the Havana Night Club.
A special local spot is "Que Pasa" downtown--sashimi, Jamaican stew, tenderloin steaks, BBQ Ribs, Fettucini with chicken etc (quepasaaruba.com).
Try "Bucaneer" for the kids just for the large aquariums and the feeling you're dining below the deck of a sunken ship.
"Tango" Argentine Grill has early bird specials from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at $19.95 each includes choices of either filet mignon, churrasco, ribs, or grilled chicken etc. We have only ordered Ribs and they were very tasty. Tango dancers perform live.
New restaurant "Smokey Joe's" is the sister of Iguana Joe's (downtown) and is located across from the high rise area. If you like pizza one night, try Tomato Charlie's also at the high rise area.
As mentioned above don't miss Madame Janette one of our favorites.

Hi Eileen,
We go to Aruba with our 3 kids ages 8-11 every Christmas. Some of our favorite restaurants are:
Amazonian
Chalet Suisse (Great fondue for dessert)

Have fun.
