Anguilla or T&C villas?

I'm planning a weeklong Xmas trip for a party of five: two 30-something couples and one 60-year old mother. Thanks to the good advice of ye wise Fodors posters, I have narrowed it to Anguilla or Turks and Caicos (beach, beach, beach).

Has anyone had any particular luck with finding a good villa in either place? Or a trustworthy villa rentor? Ideally, we are looking for a 3-bedroom villa with a walk to a beach (pool not important).

I am surfing the usual sites, but it's so hard to tell what you are really getting. Any and all advice very welcome.

Thanks! Hopefully my question is not too narrow.

Hi jp36! I have not been to Anguilla but will be returning to the same villa in T&C this September. Check www.aquamarinebeachhouses.com
They are right on Grace Bay, between Coral Gardens (where the reef is) and Turtle Cove area. We love this property and the owners are wonderful. They live on property so the houses are well-cared for.

My photos from last year are at www.mymoosie.net

I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding this place.

Happy Planning!
Kris

T&C may be a bit cooler in Dec. I would select Anguilla over T&C in Dec.

I was there the WHOLE month of last December, and it was perfect! Eighty's sunny, no humidity.
I've been in Anguilla in DEc and Jan and Froze! So the weather can be unpredicatable.
Also check out Villa Oasis in T&C.
Anguilla is an excellent choice, but T&C will give you more villa choices.

I would go with Villa Oasis--www.villaoasis.com over Aquamarine. They have a four bedroom villa. On Anguilla I would look at Beachcourt Villa in Shoal Bay East--www.beachcourtvilla.com. There are a lot of villas listed on www.news.ai and www.anguillaguide.com. www.wherewhenhow.com the on line magazine of the Turks and Caicos has lots of good info.

For Anguilla, look at Cove Castles for a villa with a few resort amenities.
