your question is really too vague. There are a lot of choices. But since you asked what about Peter Island Resort? www.peterislandresort.com

sorry for the vagueness-am considering VG and looking at Leverick Bay, Mahoe Bay and Nail Bay. I love the beach and my husband wants access to watersports;
any particular place I should settle on?

VG's Mahoe Bay is a terrific location. Very up-scale rental villas (just about every one with it's own pool) that are either beachfront or beach access. All attractively furnished. The crescent shaped beach has golden sand and is lapped by calm gin clear torquoise waters with an excellent snorkeling reef just yards off shore. There are wonderful views of neighboring islands and the setting sun. Depending on which villa you chose you will be within a 5 to 10 minute walk of Georgio's restaurant. Other than snorkeling though, there are no watersports, for that you'd have to venture to other parts of the island. Nail bay is similar to Mahoe Bay but not as upscale and the snorkeling on that beach pales in comparison to Mahoe Bay. Liverick Bay is an area of more "older" rental villas, the beach there is smaller, there's very little "off-beach" snorkeling" but you'll have access to rental boats and other wathersports not available at the other two places on your list.

If your husband wants access to lots of watersports perhaps you might want to consider staying at the Bitter End Yacht Club - hell get all the sailing, boating, snorkeling, etc. he wants. The beach there is smaller and not as nice as the other locations on your list.

Resorts to check out - Little Dix Bay and Biras Creek

If interested in a villa there are 20 or so really nice ones on Mahoe Bay, VG
