After much deliberation.....the winner is....
Negril. My wife and I were looking for a place to go in November using our Continental FF miles from Seattle. I was hell bent on Tobago for our 10 day trip, but after much research....we decided that we were more comfortable going somewhere we both love and are guaranteed to have a nice trip. I placed our deposit today at Coco La Palm and we are set! We plan on bringing the two year old....for his 3rd trip to Negril counting the one he had in the belly. We had to cancel our trip last May....so we are definitely overdue and definitely excited!!!

CaribbeanSoul, (and Mrs CaribbeanSoul and Son)
Whilst we don't normally revisit resorts (too many other places to visit) I think you've probably made the right decision.
Sometimes it's nice not to worry about a vacation, especially with a small child - you know what you're getting into and that's priceless.
We stayed Idle Awhile in May and that stretch of the beach is the best.
Good move! have a wondeful time - are you counting the days?

Alya: Yes....definitely counting the days! We return from our trip on Thanksgiving Day and back to Seattle in time for a late dinner....should be a lot of fun. Coco La Palm really goes all out with their Christmas lights and they have a ceremonial lighting the night before Thanksgiving. We have only seen pictures.
Christie: Thanks! I'll be sure to post a detailed trip report upon return titled Traveling With a 2 Year Old to Negril (Times are a Changin'). He should find the big beach and calm waters much to his liking. He is becoming a parrot reciting words as best as he can at the moment. He should be a real piece of work by November.

JW: I have not been on an Alaskan cruise, or any kind of cruise for that matter. Depending on your route, if you can find your way to Desolation Sound along the inner passage¡K..it is amazing! Water so warm in the summer that you can swim in it, believe it or not. Where are you staying in Seattle? I can recommend some good restaurants and ¡§touristy¡¨ things to do here. I have lived here for 10 years and I still feel like a tourist. ƒº
Owa: I¡¦ll most definitely post a trip report upon my return.

We are leaving for Negril July 10th-16th. Staying at CocoLaPalm. I will post when I return. I have not heard anything bad about the hotel ever.
Thanks to CaribbeanSoul who back in early May helped me with some details for my trip. Made the planning much easier.

CS. Any restaurant recs would be appreciated. Is there an Indian restaurant by chance as my wife is Indian. We haven't determined a hotel yet but we do want to be in the downtown area. What about the Sixth st. inn? Are you familiar with it?
