I've been to GC twice. Each time I either exchanged or purchased a GETAWAY.I stayed at Grand Caymanian and Morritt's. IMO, 7 Mile Beach Resort was not to my liking, when I toured and neither was Morritt's. Morritt's is located in the east end, which is waaaaaaay to far from 7Mile Beach (not the resort).7 MB is the reason I go to GC. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the caribbean.....So you may want to check out the Grand Caymanian. Just to let you know, this T/S is about 1.5 miles inland from 7MB, but it has great amenities and very clean. There's also a small man-made beach on the premises.I rent a car and go to any section of 7MB I desire that day.
TomCayman is correct; you should check-out TUG.......I am a member myself.

EJC... my general rule on timeshare getaway deals is that if the resort offers a getaway, either a) you probably don't want to stay there, and/or b) they are going to harass the heck out of you to buy timeshare.
That's just my view on the subject

TomCayman, My feelings are totally different. The timeshares I've been to,through "getaways" are usually new. Therefore, it's a chance to see it for a week without a tour; not to mention at a pretty good price.
As far as being harassed, I find the words "NO THANK-YOU" go a long way.
When I visited your t/s (THE REEF), I liked it very much. Not being nasty, but I would have liked it much better if it was on or near 7MB.

EJC, if you are selective (as I am sure you are), you may be right... new timeshare resorts often give away loads of rooms for getaways, but newbies should watch out for older resorts doing the same.
No offence taken, not everybody likes the East End, but then not everybody likes the high rise buildings, constant construction of every higher condos, traffic etc of 7MB
