7 mile beach condo with family

Looking for a upscale type condo on 7 mile beach for family of 4. Would like to be oceanfront and have a pool. I realize that their are many condo complexes; which in your opinion are newer? close to restaurants, etc? Thanks!

You should probably be aiming for the middle of SMB. Nice wide beaches and close to restaurants and shopping. The newest in that group is the Meridian. You can check on www.caymanvacations.com.

Hi lmrussell, I own a condo at the Villas of the Galleon and we love it, but they don't have a pool. Their beach is fantastic and anywhere along that section the beach is very nice. Honestly a lot of the condominums might not be newer, but the insides have been completely redone due to Hurricane Ivan. You can also check out www.vrbo.com for other ideas on condos and most have good pictures too.

we stay at the Regal Beach Club Condos next to the Marriott on 7 MB with our two young sons and love it. We have stayed there five years most recently for two weeks in January. Every unit we have stayed in has been wonderful. There is a pool and awesome beach with off shore snorkeling. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. There is a nice website to check it out. regalbeach.com, I believe.

We've stayed at CoralStone Cluremodeled) and Meridian(newer). Both are upscale with pools directly oceanfront. However there is construction on both sides of the Meridian and one side of Coralstone. It may affect your decision.

We stayed at the Grandview condos about 4 years ago and it was really nice. You literally walked out your patio door onto the beach. Each unit had a nice screened porch to sit on. The units were clean and spacious and included maid service. They did have a pool and a nice beach. They were within walking distance to town, in fact, we loaded up our shopping cart at the grocery and walked back to the condo with our food and the cart. The grocery came and picked up the cart later for free. It was a short walk the other way to the main part of SMB.

We loved the Regal Beach Club. Condos were very nice and it was a great location. Daughter loved the pool.

Coral Stone is gorgeous? Recent 10M renovations. Granite counter tops, modern appliances, very nice pool. Screened in porch (typically) and an outdoor patio. We didn't stay there but plan to in future if we can find another couple to go with us. $$$$, but you get what you pay for. Definitely upscale. Can't beat the beach.
