Whistler weather in June
We will be visiting Whistler the first week of June. What should we expect the weather to be like? Will we be able to take part in the usual summer activities? Is the village lively that early in the season? Will ther be an enclosed gondola running after June 4? Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Hi, Whistler, being in the mountains can get anything at this time of year. Probably not snow but cold and possible showers. The Gondola runs year round. Whistler is busy year round. The valley won't have snow but they may still have a fair amount up top as we've had alot this year. The village is great to walk around in any weather.

Thanks for the weather info. I also have a lodging question. We would like to stay at the Crystal Lodge because we need three bedrooms and want to be in the Village. We just heard about the summer garage construction. Should we look elsewhere for accomodations or is everything under construction because of the 2010 Olympics.

The hotels at Whistler are often up grading etc. I'm going up this weekend so I'll look into the Crystal lodge and see if it will be an inconvenience. Also There are several properties in the upper village that offer 3 bedrooms. They are very convenient because parking is usually free there and the free shuttle bus around the village runs about every 10 -15 min. The horstman house is one of my favorites because it is very clean, nice finishing and the suites are large in comparison to many other properties. Some of the places at Whistler can be very small so if possible look at the sq.ft. when booking. I've heard several stories going up the gondola of teeny weeny rooms around the village. When looking at the reservation services The upper village, Blackcomb or the benchlands area are all very convenient.

Thanks. I appreciate you checking out Crystal Lodge. If you have the names of any other three bedroom properties I would appreciate them as well. I would like to stay close to the village shops and dining if possible. Have a great weekend in Whistler!

Hi Trish if you go to whistler/blackcomb.com and search accomodation they sort everything out for you by area and # of rooms. They even include privately owned condo's with pictures and virtual tours ect. You can get a good feel for the various properties this way.

Great idea to look at other properties. One of my travel mates thinks it would be too busy and loud around Crystal Lodge. I would still like to be close to the village but have the feel of the outdoors. Does any one know of a three bedroom condo that would fit our needs?
