Travelling to Toronto, possibly

I have a friend whose fave show is Queer as Folk, okay, he is obsessed with the show. My questions are, does anyone know of a good hotel near the gay? district? (never been to Toronto) Also, when do they start taping the show for next season? He hopes to get a glimpse of some of the actors. Thanks in advance.

There is a Marriot on Bloor Street just east of Yonge Street. It's located about a 10 minute walk from the centre of the gay area on Church Street.

Don't know about the taping schedule, but Sharon Gless gets her nails done where I do and I've run into her a couple of times, so if I see her I'll ask her (I have an appointment tomorrow and she's sometimes there Friday's).

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott on Yonge, in the heart of the "neighborhood." Woody's is just around the corner, in fact. It's inexpensive and nice for the price.

The Town Inn is just up the street; there's a Comfort Inn on Charles Street at Bloor, but it really does not matter. Transportation is easy in central Toronto, so you can pick whatever downtown Toronto hotel you like, and get to any part of town pretty easily.

If you have a map, your center of focus is Church Street and Wellesley.

BAK

Ahhhh... Indeed QAF was / is filmed in the area. Cawthra Square / Gloucester Square Inns with 3 heritage homes and a couple dozen rooms / suites right in the village is the place to stay. Out & About Editors Choice Award!
www.SleepWithFriends.com
