The beauty of Canada is..........

the fact that you could go to a different place in
Canada every year for two weeks and never see the same thing twice. The diversity, the expanse, the nature, it is a great country!

When I saw the the title of this post, I answered "diversity" in my head before I read any of the posts.

For me, diversity not only includes the geography of the country, but the cultures as well. Of course, they're highly influenced by the geography.

Diversity for me too -- I live in Toronto which is like a global village. And while they may not be perfect, our social programs are pretty darn good. When I hear about women in the US and elsewhere getting, at maximum, a month or two off after they have a baby and I compare that to our year at almost full pay (in Ontario, at least), I can't help feeling how lucky we are.

Wilderness. . . . my thought was "wilderness" = untouched by humans.

There is diversity in many places, but true wilderness is becoming more and more difficult to find.

For wilderness, you will still find all you want in Western Newfoundland (never mind Labrador!). But, then, there is downtown Montreal/Toronto/Calgary/Vancouver to contrast with that-yep, I would go with "diversity"!

And all this time I thought the beauty of Canada lived across the street.
