I will be in Quebec in mid-December and looking for restaurant recommendations for both lunch and dinner. Looking for a more casual atmosphere and open to all types of cuisines.

This search site is very useful. It classifies restaurants by cuisine, location, etc. -- including AVV, the French BYO, where restos allow you to bring wine and almost never charge a corkage fee. There is some reader feedback, and it will help make reservations, sometimes an advantage for non-French-speakers.

Just left Quebec City on our first visit there. We didn’t have a bad meal!
