special occasion restaurant in quebec city

Can anyone recommend an elegant restaurant with excellent food for a special celebration. We will be staying in the Frontenac in April- is the food good there?
Thanks!

For a special occasion, try Laurie-Raphael, L'Initiale or Toast.

This is the best restaurant in Quebec.......I had dinner there twice since it was so great the first night. Don't waste your time at L'Initiale. L. Raphael is good but not as good as Saint-Amour............

I agree w/Ike - I got married in QC five years ago and we were encouraged to dine at Saint Amour. We had an amazing dinner and the restaurant is lovely.

I didn't eat at many expensive restaurants in QC, because I was there as a student, but we ate at Aux Anciens Canadiens for lunch one day and it was fantastic! It is also the oldest house in Quebec City!

I would highly recommend Panache - lower town - one word - fantastic!
