As I mentioned on your other thread, Sunshine is not at all near to Vancouver, and is in fact in Alberta, about an hour and a half's drive from Calgary.
If you are looking for ski-in ski-out, you can find it at Whistler, of course, and Sunshine has limited on-site accommodation.
As intermediate skiers, you'll find plenty at Whistler and Sunshine. Other B.C. resorts which would appeal to intermediates with ski-in ski out lodging are Panorama, Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Big White, and perhaps Fernie.

I agree that Whistler/Blackcomb is the closest, being a 2 hour drive from Vancouver.
Sun Peaks (near Kamloops) has had good snow this year I have heard, and is about a 4 - 5 hour drive from Vancouver. It has a smaller, more European feel, more family friendly atmosphere. It is possible to ski in/out there as well.
