Port Alberni to Bamfield RT or Telegraph Cove
Will the end of June be too early to see the orcas in Johnstone strait near Telegraph Cove or would it be better to spend the day on the Ferry that does a RT from Port Alberni to Bamfield?

You should be able to see orcas at that time in Johnstone Strait. We took our Australian friends on a whale watching trip out of Telegraph Cove last year at the end of June and saw orcas and whales.
Of course there are no guarantees that you will see them but they are around then.

Enjoy your trip! We also saw seals, otters, eagles, various sea birds and some really neat porpoises who followed the boat and "played" with us, popping up from side to side.
Plus a mama black bear with twin cubs on our way into the village of Telegraph Cove.
It is a quaint little place also.
