There has been lots and lots talked about tours from Port Douglas and your best bet would be to do a search of this site for Port Douglas, Daintree, Eco-tours, Cape Tribulation, Lizard Island, and then I think you should have covered just about everything.
Good luck

Drive to Cape Tribulation (ferry over the Daintree River then a pleasant drive along the coast - nice beaches and good scenery). Go to the Atherton Tableland - little villages, rainforest, good views. Take the train to Kuranda and return on the skytrain. Visit Palm Cove - pretty little village with nice beach. Visit the Rainforest Habitat in Port Douglas to see Australian animals, birds etc.
The traffic is light in the Cairns/Port Douglas area so you could consider hiring a car which would give you more flexibility. Hope you have a great holiday.

Howard -

The Rainforest Habitat just south of town is worth visiting. I also went on the all day trip with David Ambrust to the rainforest, which was very good. Also do a reef trip, and going to Kuranda via the train and skyrail is fun. I enjoyed Mossman Gorge in Daintree as well.
Martha
Hi there, If you just want to snorkel then Wavelength is Port Douglas's only snorkelling specialist to the Great Bariier Reef.
If you dont want to swim, then Quicksilver is the best option. However they only take you to one spot and you travel with 450 people.
i live in Port Douglas
If you wish to amial me feel free. i like to see people leave Port Douglas with fantastic memories, as I am very proud of where I live.
Bye
