Nice Family Hotel in Victoria
Our family of 4, (Mom, Dad, 2 girls ages 4 and 6), is planning on spending 10 days in Vancouver/Whistler/Victoria, with 2 nights dedicated to Victoria. I'm looking at the Empress, the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe and the Laurel Point. I am trying to determine which would be (1) best for the family and (2) conveniently located. I don't plan on paying for a suite. I am somewhat intrigued by the purported Japanese style of the Laurel Point, but not sure what that really means or if a non-suite there is a good idea for the family. Help.

Roses,
The Ocean Pointe is lovely, also the Empress Hotel. Have stayed at the Empress and the Empress is by far closer in to everything: shops; restaurants, withing walking distance to mostly all major attractions. Have heard that Laurel Point is very nice, too.
Good luck.

We stayed last summer at The Victoria Regent which has great views of the sound and we had a lovely apt with two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, living and dining area. We really enjoyed our stay. Included in the room rates was breakfast too. Considering that they are CND dollars the rates seemed to me to be reasonable for what we got.

Hi...
We were in Victoria a week ago and stayed at the Harbour Days Inn... which is next door to the pricey Empress... and loved it! Save on the hotel and take your kids on the little Harbour Ferry.. tiny boat that'll take you all over the harbour and don't miss the bus tour that starts a few steps from the hotel... you'll never forget the wonderful gardens and beautiful homes and that gal who served as our guide had a voice and commentaries I'll never forget. Enjoy!
