Montreal-Trudeau Airport
I will be arriving at Montreal-Trudeau Airport from Calgary and then I need to get to the International area for a flight to Paris.
Is it fairly simple to do this? Is there a connection corridor or do I need to go out into the central area and then into the International????

No need to leave the secure area. If you don't know the gate for your flight to CDG, look at one of the monitors after you get off your flight from Calgary.
Just follow the signs to your new gate. You will eventually come to a checkpoint just before the international departures area but the attendant will simply ask to see your boarding pass for Paris.

Here's the reference on the airport's webpage:
http://www.admtl.com/passager/formal...ingFlight.aspx
I thought there was a floor plan on that site but couldn't find one.

JQReports, I wish I'd thought of looking there, lol. Meanwhile, my travelling friend called an Air Canada concierge at Dorval, who confirms you have to step outside the building to have a cigarette.
Travelingmommy, if you have enough time between your arrival from Calgary and your departure to CDG, your daughter could leave the building, but she'd have to come back through security. Just make sure she has her boarding pass to CDG with her!
LJ, I think you're right: no smoking inside any terminal.
