Montreal Carifiesta

I just had to have my dates switched on my annual summer trip to Montreal. Does anyone know of the confirmed date of the annual carifieasta parade, because it may work in with the dates I am there July 6-11. I happened to accidentally stumble upon it while attending the jazz fest one year and found it very entertaining. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the tip Scarlett, I took your advice and emailed the address.Bad news is because I had to switch my dates I had to give up my reservation at Hotel Vogue which was at a fantastic booked long ago rate. NOw I must choose between Crowne Plaza or Meridien Versailles? Any suggestion on this?

I don't know anything about the Meridian but I don't love the Versailles. I might just be too fussy, but it is an old building that has been renovated, some call it charm, I called it shabby. It is right on rue Sherbrook which can be very noisy with traffic.
I would go for the newer more efficiently air-conditioned hotel if I were you
We always stay at the Le Germain, before that, the Omni. Too bad about the Vogue, while I have not stayed there, I have heard great things about it..

hoopscoach, take a look at this site for Montreal tourism. I always use it planning our trips and we go every year, at least once. You can pick out your restaurants and get help with hotels, also find out exactly what is going on, when..have fun!
