Any suggestions on food, hotel,attractions? I will be traveling with my sixteen year old son and 13 year old daughter. We will be leaving from Boston. Any suggestions on a half point of interest?

Hi My friend, I was in Montreal last year and I had great time. We stayed at "saint germain boutique hotel". It was not crazy expensive but very casual and welcoming. The best restaurant I've been it was "L'express", it looks like you're in Paris and the foood was well price and amazing.

Hi, Massimino: Do you mean Le Germain? It is over $300 per night & I thought it was a "Luxury" hotel in Montreal. I am booked to go there later this week. Not looking for "casual" so if I am wrong about Le Germain wld somebody pls tell me so that I can make other arrangements for a "luxury" hotel(I am prepared to go up in price if need be) ..& what wld that "luxury" hotel be? I need recommendations.(has to be w/in walking distance of McGill University).

Le Germain is contemporary luxury. You will be fine.

Ringer, if you do a search on Montreal, you'll get lots of input. A few suggestions:
With teens you might want a hotel with a pool. The Marriot Courtyard on Sherbrooke has a very nice pool, and is not too expensive. Great location also.
As for things to do - Boat rides, bike rentals, shopping, Notre Dame, Biodome.
Places to eat - if it's a nice evening, there are lots of outdoor restaurants and street entertainers on Prince Arthur Street. This is a very lively area in the evening, as is Old Montreal.
As for stopping places:
the Hanover NH area has lots of good places to eat, and is nice to walk around. Further up, Montpelier Vt is another good stopping point for a bite to eat.

I would say The Hotel Casa Bella, it's located near the Place-des-Arts subway station, in the downtown area, between Jeanne Mance and Bleury streets.

There is a complimentary morning coffee and croissant, parking (if available) and the hotel has free wireless internet (Wi-Fi).

Old town in Montreal is the prettiest place. Along the way, Montpellier or Hanover NH or just about small town in Vermont.
