My daughter and I stayed there last October and really loved it. A beautiful place with a gracious and helpful staff. Great location in the old town. I'd go back there next trip to Montreal most definately.

My wife and I just got back from Place d'Armes a few days ago and we can't wait until our next year's anniversary to return. they have this wonderful Romantic getaway package that includes champagne and dinner at Remparts. It was the perfect romantic weekend.

Thinking of going to Montreal The Weekend of Oct 25. Is that a good time to see the changing of the leaves or is that too late?

Hotel is great - good location, breakfast and staff. However, the room service (provided by the in-hotel restaurant)was awful - the hotel doesn't own the restaurant, but they do provide room service. My experience (Aug 2002)involved an under cooked hamburger. When, I complained, I was rudely told rare was the way burgers were served in Canada. I responded that I live in Ottawa and raw hamburger could contain ecoli. Anyways, I was not charged for the meal, but only after many rude and snide responses from the restaurant manager. So yes, I would stay at the hotel again (the hotel did provide great alternatives for ordering food in), but I would stay away from the hotel restaurant.<BR>
