give me some ideas for Montreal and Quebec, Montreal and Ottawa
we are going this summer with our then 1 year old to Boston, Quebec City, Montreal and Ottawa.
These are the hotels I have picked out. Please tell me the selection I have made are good. It is not set in stone, so I am open for idea.
Boston: Wyndham Hotel
Quebec City: Hotel Manoir Victoria
Montreal: Hilton Bonaventura
Ottawa: Marriott hotel
Please let me know if these are good places or if there are better suggestions.
I want to stay in Old Quebec and in old Montreal.
Thanks

The Ottawa Marriott is a centrally located business hotel with all the usual facilities. Its distinguishing feature is a revolving restaurant on top with great views of the city, the river and the Gatineau Hills beyond.
I think the Manoir Victoria in Québec is a great choice. I haven't stayed there, but friends spent Christmas there and raved about it. It's well located within the walls in the upper town.
The Bonaventure is also quite central, and is located on top of Place Bonaventure, an exhibition and convention centre. It has an outdoor roof garden with pool. However, while close, it is not in Old Montreal, so you might want to look at something else. The hotels in Old Montreal tend to be small boutique establishments or B&Bs. The Intercontinental is the closest large hotel, if that's what you're looking for.

Even though the Hilton is not in Old Montreal. I guess it is on the fringe and close enough. I really want a hotel with a pool. That is a bit hard to find in Montreal and a good location to boot.
I am glad that you feel that the hotel Manoir Victoria is a good choice. I am a bit nervous about that. My other pick was the Delta outside the walls.

thanks so much for your help. I did see that their was a Springhill Suites in Old Montreal. Don't know how I missed that. All the research I did.
Got a great rate of $150 CAD as well. I am pleased.
In addition, I went to trip advisor and the reviews on this hotel are really good as well. Only one bad review. However, I do not put a lot of stock in trip advisor.

The Omni on rue Sherbrook has a pool. IMHO a much better location and hotel.
In Old Montreal -
Auberge San Souci
Auberge de Vieux Port
Auberge Bonaparte
Unless it is important for you to stay in a large mostly charm-less chain hotel?
