Cross Border Shopping Tips
Hey guys, I know cross border shopping has been an extremely hot topic lately.
If anyone is interested in getting some tips check out: borderdeals.ca
They have conducted some studies on travelling through the smaller border airports and found over 40% in savings:

Let us know if anyone has travelled via this method.
Just curious

I fly out of Buffalo all the time.
It is sooo much cheaper than flying out of Toronto. In many cases, it's the darn taxes and fees that make flying out of Toronto so expensive.
Also, the airport is smaller and not nearly as stressful.
A big bonus, if flying within the US, is that once I cross the border in my car, I'm IN the States and the flight is a domestic flight with no immigration to go through at the airport.
The last time I did fly out of Pearson, it took me 90 minutes just to get through US Immigration. Never again.

I know what you mean. I never find line-ups at the Buffalo airport. Its one of Buffalo's best kept secrets.
I'm wondering if its worth flying out of buffalo for vacation packages to somewhere like Jamaica or Domenican Republic. You will probably be required to take a connected to a larger airport like NYC.
Anyone tried vacation packages through Buffalo ?

HI Paulie, Yes, we just got back from Barbados. We booked with www.cheapcaribbean.com in the States. We flew on a regular scheduled flight on US Air, not a charter. We did have to change in Charlotte. I find that to be the only downside to flying out of Buffalo. ..it usually requires a change...but it's worth it.
Our vacation was excellent and I was really pleased with CheapCaribbean. We paid exactly half the price as the same package in Air Canada Vacations.
I would definately use them again.
