Connecticut to old Quebec City help

Hi my husband and I are planning a trip
to old Quebec City and need some travel help. I am incredibly claustrophobic and can not go through tunnels. I have severe panic attacks going through if I can not see the light on the other side, meaning a very short 20-30 second one.
please can anyone tell me how to get to old Quebec City from Connecticut with no tunnels. I am desperate. Please help!
Thnks
stephanie

I'm not too sure about Connecticut, but I know there are no tunnels of any kind driving up I-91 thru Mass & Vermont. I haven't driven up to Quebec City in several years, but again I can't remember any tunnels in Canada either. To reassure yourself, you can google map the route, and do a satellite view - I suspect any tunnels would show up. 90% of this drive is quite rural and scenic with some nice views across the Connecticut Valley of Vermont.

Thank you. I am hoping not to run into any tunnels, I am terrified of them. I know its silly, not sure where this came from. I am mostly concerned from border of U.S to Quebec City. I was told of a website that lists some tunnels in Canada. I guess I will have to see. My poor husband, I panic.
I appreciate your reply.

There are definitely no tunnels between Connecticut and Montreal. But I've not been further.

If this is causing you so much anxiety, why not just drive and rent a car there?
