Thank you, SusieQQ for the specifics. Traveller69: Thanks for some solutions to this whole cell phone deal. I called our company, today (Tmobil), not much help. They were glad to tell me I could do roaming at .49 a minute and texting was a real bargain at .35. A real deal! We absolutely need a cell phone. Our second exchange does not have a land phone. I will have to think this through a bit more.

Annetti - are you traveling with your computer? Do the exchanges include high speed internet?? Just asking because I bought a "Magic Jack" at Radio shack last winter and just love it. I travel with my laptop and a small regular telephone ($7 at Walmart) I just plug the phone into my computer where I am and have long distance. Not only that it is basically free (19.95 a year) I love it because it has voice mail as well so I can go anywhere and keep in touch.
