I would not use "quaint" to describe it. It's a fairly new (20 years, maybe) skinny high-rise that looks more or less like an apartment building.

Thelocation is a block away from the top of the Eaton Center giant indoor shopping mall, up the street from two "live" theaters, close (a block or so) to the subway, near some good to excellent restaurants, and, all in all, generally a bargain if you don't want luxury.

If you can do without frills, then Bond Place is a good deal. The rooms are average size but clean, which is what really matters anyway. Skip the hotel's overpriced restaurant as there are plenty of good restaurants nearby in all price ranges (Wendy's Deli a few doors down on Dundas serves an excellent breakfast for under $5). Also, the elevator is very slow so if you have to be somewhere on time allow an extra 5 minutes for the elevator.

www.bondplacehoteltoronto.com is badly designed, and you need to poke around for a while to get any info.

But when you do, the info is pretty good.

BAK
