Where to tay in Apt in Melbourne
Will be in Australia for ~6 weeks for the first time this February. Want to rent an apt in Melbourne for 4-5 days. What areas should we be looking at? Prefer if possible to be somewhere where we can walk to sightsee and dinner. Thanks!

I've stayed twice at City Tempo at 353 Queen Street (at Abeckett St.). The apartments were compact, but comfortable. Each time, I stayed in a studio with a balcony. It was a couple of blocks from Queen Victoria Market, a block from the tram stop and an easy walk to Chinatown, the Melbourne Museum in Carlton Gardens, and Federation Square. It's close to heaps of shops and restaurants, and about 4 to 5 blocks from QV Mall which has a Woolworth's Supermarket and a large Dan Murphy's wine store. It was also a couple of blocks from several rental car offices, which came in handy for a day-trip to Yarra Valley.
I also considered staying at Pegasus Apartments, which is down the block, and Oaks on Williams, which is also closeby. In the end, City Tempo, was a little cheaper.
