G'day,
looks like that there is no one who has been staying at the "Waves".
We usually stay in cabins at the Camping Ground.
They are quite separate from the camping area and very well equipped and fitted out.

How are you traveling along the GOR?
It's a great area, but watch for school holidays. It can get pretty busy at those times.
If you need any other info then just ask here.
Enjoy,
Mike

Thanks for the reply. We will be driving... since we only have a day and a half I thought that we would take the inland route to Warmambool and then follow the GOR to Port Campbell and stay overnight and then continue to Melbourne slowly the next day.

When are school holidays... our entire trip is the second half of November.
Starting in Port Douglas, then Brisbane, then Sidney, and ending in Melbourne before back to New York, New York.

Thanks again.
Hi,
you won't have any problems regards school holidays, they start much closer to Christmas.
If the wind blows from the south when you are there it can be a bit cool, take a windcheater with you!
Make sur that your windscreen washer bottle is full. The spray off the sea can make a mess of your windscreen and you will be driving against the rising sun for a while.
There are also a couple of areas of remnant temperate climate rainforest along your route. Ask for the exact location when you are in Port Campbell.

A pity you only have a day and a half. With a little more time you could have driven via Ballarat and the Grampians.

Enjoy,
Mike

Hi bjw,

I haven't stayed there (I was at a Flag property now changing to a Comfort Inn) but I saw the "Waves" while in Port Campbell in December. Looks pretty standard type motel - clean and neat accommodations, pretty much all the same there (you could "drag main" in Port Campbell in about 5 minutes)
