Pat W. appreciation

Hi Pat Woolford. I will be coming to Queensland in June/July and I was wondering if I could bring you anything from Canada in appreciation for all you help in planning our Australian trip. {yes, My 1st born is Available}, But how about some Maple Syrup or smoked salmon. Is there anything you can't get in Australia? although I know the world is basically a global market I'm doubtful that we can buy veggiemite in Vancouver. I do have a 2nd and 3rd child but they are showing potential. How about some pigs tails from Ontario{a Kitchener delicacy} On second thought I'd never get them through customs. Well have you any requests?

How nice of you weasel to think of Pat. If Pat does not tell you I can suggest the following:
1/ old bra for her favourite dog as it has some weird fettish.
2/ some duty free cigarettes as they are expensive here.
3/ a nice Canada apron for either Mike or herself
4/ anything special in the delicacies of Canada
Hope that helps

Pressed the wrong key:
Knowing Pat though the mere fact that you have shown some appreciation will tickle her pink.
She would not expect a present but I am sure that she would not say no. The pig tails sound the best I think.

Weasel, that is so sweet of you. I have to confess that I've used this forum unmercifully to my own advantage, everytime someone asks what they should bring as gifts to Australians I'm in there begging for Californian or Mexican dried chillis. My pleas have not gone unheard, I now have a substantial stash, thanks Steve and Andrea, and others if you're reading this.

It was nice of LizF to think of my old labradoodle's bra fetish, trouble is, she's only interested if I've worn them. Polly's honed her bra stealing technique to a fine art, just have to be one step ahead.

Weasel, I'll pass on the first-born, thanks, unless you want to do a swap. Pigs' tails certainly have me intrigued, but as you say, there could be a problem with Customs.

Do have a great trip in Qld and glad if I've been of any help.

Pat, If you like Mexican chilies, have you ever tried chipotle powder? I love adding it into soups etc because it adds a smokey flavor. Perhaps you'd like to try a jar.

Hello Weasel - now you're talking! Have never seen chipotle powder here, unless its marketed under another name. Jalapenos are readily available but I don't think anyone's thought to smoke them, which would add another dimension.

Thank you!

Pat, that would make a change from smoking the dried skins of cane toads, which I was told has been known to happen up your way.
