October Honeymoon Itinerary

Please let me know if this itinerary is feasible and is giving me good coverage of Australia. We are in our early 30's and this is our October honeymoon. We are not sure of hotels yet but I would like to book the airfare portion of the trip. Please let me know your thoughts, opinions.

Sidney- 4 nights- bridge climb, opera house, day trip to Blue Mts.

fly to Port Douglas- 4nights--rent a car/ day trip to reef, Kuranda, 1 day by pool...am I leaving anything out?

Mossman- 1 night at Sily Oaks in rainforest and explore rainforest.

Aldelaide- 2nights- day trip to Barossa Valley

fly to Kangaroo Island- 2 days and 1 night tour of island

From airport, rent a car and drive the GOR to Melbourne for 3 days and 2 nights.

Am I spending enough time in each area - too much time in Port Douglas? Should we do 2 nights in the rain forest a cut a night off of Port Douglas. Is this enough time for the GOR to be done and what towns should I stop in?

Any other suggestions?

Except for no Outback that looks like a good trip. For the GOR I would suggest stopping at Pt.Fairy and either Lorne or Apollo Bay. Apart from the 12 Apostles on the GOR, make sure you don't miss the Otway Fly www.otwayfly.com.au near Apollo Bay and there are usually Kangaroos (in the wild) at the Anglesea Golf Course betwen Lorne and Torquay. check out www.visitvictoria.com

I would like to include some type of outback experience on our honeymoon. Are there any way I would be able to fit in an outback experience in the areas we are going to? What about Finders Ranges?

The Flinders Ranges would be ideal for a taste of the Outback experience. Wilpena Pound is about 450ks from Adelaide and I think there are day trips leaving Adelaide early in the morning. Have a look at www.aussieheritagetours.com.au. As a suggestion you could comfortably drive from Adelaide to Melbourne via the GOR in two days with a stopover at Pt. Fairey giving you an extra day in Adelaide to visit the Flinders Ranges.
All the best for an unforgettable Aussie honeymoon!
