good family restaurant in Sydney

I was in Sydney in July 2003. My family (wife, 7-year-old son, 19-year-old stepson) hates seafood and anything "strange", while I love all that stuff, so we found it hard to find good places to eat that would satisfy all of us, especially our 7-yr-old. But we did find one restaurant that I haven't seen reviewed anywhere that was great: Giovanni's, at the corner of Harrington & Essex Sts, phone 02-9251-8808, web www.giovannissydney.com

They're right near Circular Quay. Great pizza, good fish, friendly service. I highly recommend it for families!

Hi rapaport,
Looks like a good place to eat.Prices look quite reasonable.
We have exactly the same fussy eaters as you do ...lol
We are going to Sydney in December.
Did you need to make a reservation?

Cheers

We leave for Sydney tomorrow with our kids, including a pizza-loving teen son. I've definitely put this restaurant on our short list of possibilities. Thanks!

Thanks Mucky! It's weird, we're all packed and ready to go but our flight to Sydney doesn't leave until late evening. So we're just hanging out, killing time until we can leave for the airport. Quite a change from trips to some other destinations where we've had early morning departures.

I hope to post a trip report when we return. Thanks to everyone here who has provided tips on all kinds of topics over the last few months. You have all helped make our trip.
