I stayed at the Stamford Plaza in Sydney in 2001. It was a very nice hotel. But it seems to have vanished.

Hi, Chris!<BR>As far as I know, it hasn't vanished, but the Stamford Plaza is not actually in Sydney -- it's a few kilometres out of the city, at Double Bay. There are also Stamfords at Sydney Airport and at Ryde, but I don't think they have the &quot;Plaza&quot; appelation. The Stamford hotel which is right in Sydney is called the Sir Stamford, and it's certainly still there, and as pricey as ever.

Chris, I did a google search on the address you gave, and it is still showing up as the Stamford Plaza on three sites, all Japanese, with prices in yen. Yet it is not in the list of Stamford's in the Sydney telephone book, so I guess Stamford must have on-sold it to another chain; can't think which one, however.
