Christchurch on a Sunday?

Why a foodless flight?
There's a chain of grocery stores called New World - they're open from 7:30 am to 9 pm daily.

There are other chains as well, just do a search to find opening hours.

Just realized you can't look up stores if you don't know the names!
Here's a list of Christchurch grocery stores and their hours - seems most are open until 7 pm or 10pm on Sundays.

If you get in early you could also go to the weekend market in the Arts Centre, which has stalls that sell bread, produce, cheese, and cured meats. Hours approximately 10 am to 4pm.

Yelpir, another foodstore chain is the PaknSav group, prices are extremely good, and make sure you check out their cheeses, wines, meat section.
We used them in our north island trip, and intend to use them in our south island trip later this year. There is a PaknSav store in Moorehouse Avenue, Christchurch.
