Modest Budget/Luxury Bound

Hi all,
I have posted on the Caribbean site looking for 2nd best choice to Tahiti/Bora Bora honeymoon but this would be my FIRST choice. I would love to stay in an overwater bungalow and we have a budget of $6-9k. Is it possible? Food/Alcohol included. 7 nights.
Thanks!

Have you looked into booking through a wholesale warehouse like Costco or Sams Club? We have used the travel agent services many times with great success (and good deals). Looking at the Costco website they have many options for the South Pacific region including:

1) InterContinental Le Moana Resort – Bora Bora

Receive free night, complimentary breakfast and dinner on Bora Bora.

Executive Members receive a complimentary bottle of champagne and cheese platter.

Vacation from Los Angeles includes:

Round-trip airfare from LAX on Air Tahiti Nui
Lei greeting
Round-trip ground transportation from airport to hotel
One night in a Lagoon-View Room on Tahiti
Inter-island airfare
Six nights in a Beach Junior Suite on Bora Bora (free night reflected in price)
Breakfast and dinner daily on Bora Bora
Airfare and hotel tax
From $3,766 per person*

Los Angeles - 7 Nights

Price valid for travel through 12/30/07
Blackout dates and restrictions may apply
Non stop flights also available from New York.
Call for pricing.

Yes, that would have to include airfare.

Yes, I am watching Costco's packages for the deals. Have to wait a little bit though for prices for June 08.

Contact a Tahiti specialist and tell them your budget- you may not get some of the fanciest places in Bora Bora- but many of the other hotels are great there too!

I think your 6-9k budget could be possible with many of the special deals I have seen since they offer airfare from LAX, accomodations, breakfast and dinner for many of these packages. The only thing not included will be alcohol and you can bring some with you duty free.

My advice would be definitely talk to a Tahiti specialist and they can help you out.

Good luck! Bora Bora is amazing!
