Carlton or Hilton in Auckland

We are spending 2 weeks in New Zealand and then on a 2 week cruise Someone said you can check in for cruise ships at the Hilton does anyone know if this is true? I am still trying to make up my mind between The Carlton or the Hilton in Auckland Thanks

I dont think the Carlton is near the pier but in the Hilton info it said something about the cruise lines using their conference rooms for checking in cruise customers I just am not sure what cruises or if this is the case Thanks Debbie

Hi...the Carlton is not near the pier. The Hilton is right on the pier (I mean out over the water as in "right" on the pier) and the cruise ships pull in along side. I don't know if you can check in there but it would not surprise me if you could. David

Do you actually have access to hotel reservations for those properties for the dates you mentioned? Note that the America's Cup is scheduled to run Feb 15 to Mar 1. The Hilton, which is sold out now for that time period was charging $250-300US per night for those dates.

Does anybody have information on the Sheraton. I will be getting off a ship and need a hotel for one night. We will probably be around and about all dayand not spending too much time at the hotel. Leaving early next morning.
