Budget hotel in fiji
We are flying into NADI in November for 2 weeks and need to book something pretty cheap (approx $50 per night), can anyone recommend somewhere that is clean, and in a good location for this price. Thanks

I do hope you're not staying in Nadi for the whole two weeks as three days would be enough for me, it is best to get offshore to some of the beautiful islands.
I would suggest bring up Fiji on the
www.jasons.com/sp/ website and have a search for a resort in Nadi to fit your price range and then an island stay on somewhere like Plantation, anyone else got suggestions on the islands?

SallyKate-please do not stay in Nadi the whole time. It is not a nice place whatsoever. How old are you? If you are young you might want to try Beachcomber Island, but I mean young like 18-24. It's a party island. Perhaps look into Hideaway, but I'm not sure how expensive it is. It's much nice to venture out to another island or along the coast and have a real beach experience, as opposed to staying in Nadi which is congested and dirty.

SallyKate, do a websearch on Rob Kay (Kaye's) website. He has good info on resorts in all kinds of px ranges. There are a number of great places to stay in the Yasawa's, on Kadavu, and up on Taveuni that are not fancy but offer good basic accommodation. You might do a search on Jona's Paradise, Octopus Resort, Beverly's Cottages. Also check the "Bula Fiji" website. Excellent resource with links to just about every resort in Fiji. Margaret Travel Agency in Nadi is also very helpful with budget resorts. She has a website as well.

Margaret Travel (fijiislandstravel.com) are truly wonderful people & Margaret & Tom can organise everything if you give them a budget. Do not spend more than 2 nights in Nadi(Beachside resort is OK & has good food)-get up to the Yasawa islands to see finest beaches & experience turqoise waters. Gorgeous!!!
